Serves: Six
Ingredients
1 pint of water
100g/4oz of caster sugar
2-4 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
1 nutmeg
2 oranges – thinly sliced
1 bottle of red wine
Preparation
- Boil 1 pint of water with the sugar and spices in a saucepan for 5 minutes
- Add the oranges and remove from heat and set aside for 15 minutes
- Stir in wine. Heat slowly without boiling
- Serve in preheated glasses.
